The packing material is paper, which is a residual product from Gotland's newspapers' printing house on Gotland.
SHIPMENT FEE BY COUNTRY
Because of the difference between weight and size between the objects the fees are variable.
Sweden:
Shipments within Sweden are charged 75 SEK ( 0-3 kg) / 220 SEK ( 3,1-10 kg and bigger objects) and are fulfilled by Posten.
Europe:
Shipments within Europe are charged 245 SEK (0-3 kg) / 360 SEK (3,1-10 kg and bigger objects)
IMPORT TAX AND DUTY (FOR CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION)
When ordering from countries outside the EU, you will need to pay import tax and duty according to the local rules in your country, upon delivery of your order. Therefore, the order value does not include Swedish VAT. The amount of tax and duty to pay is different in every country.
PAYMENT
You can pay with Apple Pay, Visa, MasterCard and other alternatives depending on your location. The transaction of credit card data is encrypted. Berg Österdahl does not store any credit card data.
CREATE YOUR OWN FLOWER IN METAL
During the summer months, when the workshop is pleasant, it is possible to create your own flower in metal.
You will be assigned a sheet of paper and an equally large piece of tin. Part of the challenge is to use the material as much as possible. First you sketch and cut on paper. When you have found a shape that you like, you transfer it to the piece of sheet metal, which you cut with various sheet metal scissors and shape with the help of pliers, hammer and anvil. I will help with any welding.

Om Elena
Elena Berg Österdahl (f. 1985) är formgivare, konsthantverkare och konstnär baserad på Gotland, Sverige, hennes födelseö, och i Gryon, Schweiz. Utbildad vid Jönköpings Tekniska Högskola, med en kandidatexamen i produktutveckling inom möbeldesign, med en vetskap om att hon ville gå en konstnärlig väg, men med en teknisk grund. Hennes utbildning kombinerade både teori och praktik med fokus på marknaden, samt projekt hämtade direkt från möbelindustrin.
"Jag drivs av att vända på traditionella koncept och av kontrasterna i form och material. ”Tänk att man av skitig metall kan få fram skira former som förför med stilren elegans!” Metallen fascinerar även för att den oftast behövs ”brottas med”, med styrka och distinkthet, men ibland behövs de mjukaste händerna. Det är levande och det mest cirkulära materialet på vår planet. Patinerad metall berättar också en unik historia. Det är något melankoliskt i att skapa i ett material som vissnar långsamt, men ändå så synligt: "Rost är metallens förmultningsprocess, som en blomma som vissnar!"

Vi strävar efter att göra ansvarsfulla val när det gäller material, tillverkning och våra leverantörer.
Alla metallföremål tillverkas av återvunnet eller restmaterial av stål. Patinan skapas av naturen, ibland med hjälp av salt och vinäger. För att svarta rosten tillsätts en vätska som inte är farlig att hantera eller för miljön.

Workshop
Vill du skapa en egen blomma i metall?
Under sommarmånaderna när verkstaden är trevlig går det att skapa en egen blomma i metall.
Du kommer att tilldelas ett pappersark och en lika stor bit plåt. En del av utmaningen är att använda materialet så mycket som möjligt. Först skissar du och skär i papper. När du hittat en form som du gillar överför du den till biten metall som du skär med olika plåtsaxar och formar med hjälp av tång, hammare och städ. Jag hjälper till med eventuell svetsning.
